My friend JR manages this pretty cool band called There For Tomorrow. Their album “A Little Faster” can be heard streaming like the Chicago River on THIS SITE.
Check it out, then play ‘music journalist’ and let me know what you think.
Ok, here it goes: It would be too much for me to go and take you song by song because honestly? Words don’t actually help define music for any album. I suggest you listen. Anyhow, I discovered this band about two years ago, and ever since then, I have heard nothing but genuity. Maika’s voice is probably one of the more developed “rock” voices I’ve heard in a long while, and (whether you believe it or not) it’s just as great live as it is on the record. The record is fun and energetic, not that the sounds are anything original by any means. However, the way in which TFT has presented it, is considerably refreshing and I do believe that is because of the incredible musicianship each band member displays individually as well as collectively. The lyrics are incredibly well developed and can get to your weary little hearts, especially in songs like rock ballads such as, “Just in Time” and “I can’t Decide.” But don’t take my word for it. Pick it up. It’s completely worth the $8.99 at Target.

Hey Ryan. That’s gross.
I’m fascinated that one person could get hurt so much by playing the thing he loves. You rock, Ryan. Please make sure to take care of yourself. I do want to see you playing in Los Angeles sometime.

I really like this Advertising Takeover. Artist: Ji Lee.
I feel inclined to press that wall now.

I like how my movie sort of fell to shit towards the end. Like, Metro Station killed the awesome vibe of the movie. I’m just trying to imagine a death scene to “Birthday Girl.” It’ll probably be some Mexican front-yard kids birthday involving a drive-by and a shot-up cake. I hope my funeral song is played acoustically because someone must’ve really hated me to play “Thnks fr the mmrs.” Other wise, I was happy with the outcome. The opening credits and prom are my favorite though.
Oh wait, explain to me how the wedding song is a wedding song. It’s like, a divorce song. Clearly I lead a shitty life and end up dying violently.
To hell with chain letters :)
Sure you’ve seen this, but I just can’t figure out if it’s supposed to be funny or not. Looks like i’m out of a job.
Today felt like a waste, daylight savings should give me my hour back I could use it now.

I just have to say, that I saw this a few months back and laughed really hard. A friend and I then discussed how music is getting too “easy” to make. True—anyone can be a musician these days. Quantity is showing up in the quality of records. Music has been shot to hell people. This still made me giggle though.
My old CDs are better than your new CDs.
